Who is Lee? Good question. I would say Lee is an amazing DJ who makes people's days behind the decks, just like any other DJ. But I would go on to say he also had to work at a car wash to pay for the very skill he now lives off.

After finishing high school back in 2008, I wanted to do a DJing course. At the time it didn't look too promising to the financiers, and my dad wasn't having it either, despite him being a big part of why I was into music in the first place, since he owned a music store. But that being said, I went ahead and did the course anyway.

From there I got private DJing gigs after playing by myself for a while, building things up slowly. Now, here I am at Nairobi Street Food Festival, as stage manager and resident DJ.

Music has just always been something I love, and djing even more so. There's nothing like standing behind those decks and watching a crowd shift with whatever you're playing. Knowing that for those few hours, I get to be part of someone's good day, maybe even their best night out, that's the part that makes it all worth it. It's why I keep doing this.

And honestly, everything I've gone through to get here just proves what I've always believed. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
